Creperie NYC has been serving up sweet and savory crepes in New York City for over 25 years. Owner Amnon shares insights into the journey of this beloved creperie, its viral menu items, and the dedication to quality that keeps customers coming back.​

A Journey Rooted in Experience

Amnon's culinary journey began in the 1980s with travels to China, where he immersed himself in diverse flavors and cooking techniques. This global exposure laid the foundation for Creperie NYC, which opened its East Village location a decade ago. Since then, the creperie has expanded its menu to over 50 items, catering to a wide range of tastes.​

“If the food is not good, the customer would not walk into the door,” Amnon emphasizes.​

Crafting Viral Delights

Creperie NYC serves up plenty of sweet and savory options, but it’s the over-the-top, innovative creations that have taken the internet by storm. The Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Crepe — layered with pistachio cream, milk chocolate, strawberries, and whipped cream — became a viral sensation on TikTok. To get it just right, Amnon sampled more than 25 pistachio creams from the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East before finding the perfect one.

Other crowd favorites include the Tiramisu Crepe, a playful spin on the classic dessert, and the New Yorker Cheesecake Crepe, loaded with strawberries and chocolate. These bold combinations keep customers curious—and coming back for more.

Engaging with the Community

From celebrities to college students, Creperie NYC draws a crowd as varied as its menu. With more than 50 options — including seasonal specials like those created for Latin Heritage Month — the shop serves up something for everyone. There are even five kinds of chocolate to choose from, plus lighter options for those looking for a healthier twist.

Amnon keeps things personal by chatting with customers, asking what they like and what they’d change. “That’s how we keep improving,” he says. It’s this back-and-forth with the community that keeps the menu fresh, and the regulars coming back.

Serving More Than Just Crepes

Beyond the storefront, Creperie NYC brings its sweet and savory magic to events through catering and brand collaborations. “Watching the crepe being made is part of the fun,” Amnon says. “It’s sensory. It’s entertainment.” That same spirit extends to the shop’s hours. Flexible, responsive, and always customer-first. On Fridays and Saturdays, they stay open as late as 4 a.m. to keep the post-club crowd well-fed.

“With all the nightclubs around, we’ve learned to adapt,” Amnon adds. “We don’t say no to people’s requests.”
